Terms of use

The service

Koriva provides family safety tools such as location sharing, safe zones, emergency alerts, call and message protection, a web filter, screen-time rules and a daily brief. Some features work differently, or not at all, depending on the operating system and country; the Help page in the app has the details. The service is provided by Koriva – Family Tracking & Safety.

Account and age

• A family guardian account can only be created by someone aged 18 or over.
• Children and other family members join only by the guardian’s invitation.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and the security of your password.

Permitted use

You may use Koriva only for people you have the legal right to: minor children in your care, or adults who have clearly agreed.

In particular, you must not:

• Install Koriva on an adult’s phone without their knowledge and consent, or use it to secretly monitor, follow or harass anyone.
• Access someone else’s account without permission, try to get around the app’s security, or overload the servers.
• Knowingly report a number as a scam when it is not.
• Use Koriva for any unlawful purpose.

If these rules are broken we may suspend or close the account.

Emergencies

Koriva is not an emergency service and does not call emergency services. In a real emergency, first call your country’s emergency number (112 in Europe and Türkiye, 911 in the US and Canada).

Notifications can be delayed or not shown at all because of phone settings; a location can be wrong or out of date; filters and lists cannot recognise every threat. Do not rely on Koriva as the only safeguard for the people you love.

Subscription and payment

• Emergency help, location sharing, safe zones, device status and link check are always free and stay on even without payment.
• Other features may need a Koriva Premium subscription. It is bought through the App Store or Google Play; the price is shown in the store before you buy.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You cancel and manage it in your store account settings. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s refund rules. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Intellectual property and open source

The Koriva app, name and logo belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Except where the law allows it, you may not copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app.

Koriva uses some open data and open-source resources, which are subject to their own licences. Map: Google Maps; when you use the map, the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy also apply. Route data: © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Block lists: The Block List Project (Unlicense), Phishing.Database (MIT) and others.

Liability

We build Koriva with care, but we cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or able to prevent every threat. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by the service being unavailable.

This limitation does not apply to intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited. Your rights under the consumer law of the country where you live are not affected.

Ending your account

You can delete your account from the app at any time (see the Account deletion page). If you seriously breach these terms we may suspend or close your account, giving notice in advance where possible.

Changes

We may change these terms. We will announce important changes in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Koriva after a change, you accept the new terms; if you don’t, you can delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, and your right to go to court there, are not affected.

If you downloaded Koriva from the App Store

These terms are between you and Koriva – Family Tracking & Safety, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its support. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent permitted by law Apple has no other obligation. Any claims relating to the app, including intellectual property claims, are addressed to us, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must comply with US export restrictions and applicable third-party terms when using the app.
